Class: Illustration II Prompt: create a creature design for the Jabberwocky based on the poem (but outside of the Alice in Wonderland world). Materials: Photoshop cs3 Comments: I flipping love these designs! I did a little extra work and designed the Bandersnatch as well based off of a scrapped Jabberwocky design element.
INFORMATION ON THE SHEET (I realize the text is hard to read lol) Bandersnatch The Bandersnatch is the Jabberwocky's personal companion. Having stunted mobile function, the Bandersnatch depends on the Jabberwocky for its food-human faces. In return, the Bandersnatch stores and preserves excess human face maks by connecting them to its spin for the Jabberwocky to use when his current face rots.
Jabberwocky The Jabberwocky is a feasome beast that comes out at night to attack and kill its human victims. With a face of pure shadow it is able to sneak up on its pray. THough many know that the vorpal blade must cut off its head for it to die, most will attempt to strike the shadow head, and thus hit nothing. Some will also attack the face on the ribcage of the Jabberwocky. The Jabberwocky will steal the face of a young girl or loved one in order to intice his next victim… for in the darkness someones one cannot see the Jabberwocky at all but only the skinned face. This face also provides sustenance for the Jabberwocky. The head that must be cut off to kill the Jabberwocky is at the end of its tail. This head is the one with the brain inside, but both heads function for sick and jaw movement and both connect to the digestive tract. The Jabberwocky has no sense of smell but a sense of hearing so keen that it is easily bothered by singing or clanking sounds. Thus, to avoid the Jabberwocky it is suggested to sing a happy song on your way home in the dark.
Oh wow, That's awsome c: I was so suprised that there were no comments on this. Because this concept for them is purely amazing. You have wonderful ideas m'dear <3
